Denise Wiedemeier, Chief Administrator
Denise has 21 years experience of supervisory experience in the animal care field. She began her career as a veterinarian technician where she gained valuable knowledge of animal physiology, diet, first aid, sanitation and well care. Ms. Wiedemeier began her career as a pet stylist by acquiring the knowledge she needed to have a successful business and care for the pets at her facility. She attended small business courses, animal behavior conferences and grooming success seminars at Hershey Groom Expo. Denise is highly energetic with outstanding communication and people skills. In her vision for success she felt she would greatly benefit from a well rounded education. She has modeled her views of education and as a life long student has empathy for the student and has the ability to communicate and has a passion for teaching.
Ms. Wiedemeier opened Waggin’ Tails Salon and Boarding in 1989 and within a few short years built the business to over 5,000 clients. Her and her staff work in an organized professional manner with great care of the pet and offer quality service. The student will benefit from learning in this successful and conducive learning environment. Denise has ran all business operations, customer relations, development of safety and other procedures, maintained equipment and ongoing trends in the industry and is an expert at All Breed Styling and client designs.

Ms. Wiedemeier teaches “The Golden Paws Instructional Method” a proprietary step by step instructional program designed to teach correct tool usage and develop quality styling skills and how to apply those skills to the dog parts and create all breed designs and client styles. This proven system has been successfully used over 35 years. Denise has completed Level 3 Humane Officer Training and works with county and city officials to raise funding for the K-9 unit and local animal shelters.

Ms. Wiedemeier has given back to the pet community in many ways as part of the Humane Society. She has also spent weeks rescuing animals that were stranded by Hurricane Katrina. She feels working with animals everyday is a gift and she would like to share that gift with others who want a career in pet grooming.
Ms. Wiedemeier holds responsibility of Administrator/Instructor. She will oversee day to day operations and see that they run smoothly. Make sure the quality of the program is adhered to, to resolve any disputes and follow the State of Wisconsin rules and regulations, to maintain equipment (through equipment specialists), order new tools for student packets and teaching supplies. She will maintain a safe environment and follow regulatory and city regulatory agencies. She will keep financial records of student payments and keep abreast and make any necessary changes as determined by the State of Wisconsin.
